Energo Labs hosted their second event for the Asian Clean Tech Entrepreneurs Community (ACTEC) on Thursday, 7th September in Bangkok, Thailand. This was the first ACTEC event in Thailand and was co-hosted by the first private technology incubator in South-East Asia, TechGrind.
Hosted at Stamford International University Asoke, the first meeting of ACTEC Bangkok was honored to invite several industry leaders and entrepreneurs from Thailand’s start-up scene. The event had four speakers: COO of Energo Labs, KaiKai Yang; Partner of TechGrind, Jan Abrahamsson; Director of Renewable Energy at GIZ (Thailand), Thomas Chrometzka; and Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship Coach and iTeam Member of Thailand’s Government Innovation Lab, Erica Maesincee. Following the style of ACTEC events, the keynote speeches were followed by a Q&A panel session where event attendees used their own start-up experiences to ask our speakers questions about clean technology and its role in education, the industry, and the future.
ACTEC is an initiative we hope to launch in Asia to establish an entrepreneurial network focused on technological innovations for sustainable development and environmental protection. This first meet-up in Bangkok marks the beginning of a new chapter to discuss the role of South-East Asia in clean technology.
The next ACTEC meet-up will be held in Beijing on Wednesday, 20th September.
